Albany G Series Gear Pumps now UL & ULC Listed for Fuel Oil Service

The Albany G Series Gear Pumps are now certified and listed to UL343 & ULC-C343 and are intended for use in the assembly of power-operated, oil-burning appliances in accordance with ANSI/NFPA 31, “Installation of Oil-Burning Equipment,” or CAN/CSA-B139, “Installation Code for Oil-Burning Equipment,” as appropriate.

Strainers are rated to pressures of 150 psi, and have casing temperature rating of + 2000F. The temperature rating is significant in that it eliminates any requirement for a Fire Safety Valve in application where it is used, as it is in compliance with 5.1.1 of B139.1.0-15 (Except as provided in Clause 5.1.2, the external parts of the body of a fuel-containing device, component, or accessory installed in the fuel supply system to an appliance from a tank shall have a melting point of not less than 538 °C (1000°F).
